We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
We use the information we collect to:
We don’t sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except to trusted partners who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Upon request, we’ll delete or anonymize your data unless retention is required by law.
You’ve the right to:
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
Our services aren’t directed to individuals under the age of 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we’ll take steps to delete such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
We use third-party tools, including RB2B and Leadsy, to understand which businesses and professionals visit our website. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, pages viewed, device and browser details, and cookie identifiers. They may match this information with publicly available professional information, such as your name, business email address, job title, company, and professional profile. We use it to understand interest in Chief and to follow up with relevant business outreach.
We don’t use these tools to collect information from people we know to be in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and we don’t sell this information. It may be shared with the providers that operate these tools and with service providers that help us contact you. These providers handle it under their own privacy policies.
You can opt out of RB2B identification at any time at rb2b.com/privacy-policy. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may also ask us to access, delete, or stop sharing their information by contacting us below. You can also limit tracking cookies through your browser settings or a browser privacy extension.
Our Cookie Policy also lists these tools.
Chief uses Google Ads to measure requests for the free QoE guide PDF and improve advertising bids. A download request doesn't establish that the guide was read or that a lender made an enquiry. Google may receive page URLs, IP addresses, browser and device details, ad-click identifiers and advertising cookies. Chief doesn't send form emails or customer matching data through this measurement.
Google tracking stays blocked in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada and unresolved locations until advertising measurement is accepted. A country-only lookup can't distinguish Quebec, so the consent requirement applies across Canada. Elsewhere it can run without a banner, unless a refusal or supported browser privacy opt-out applies. Acceptance and rejection are equally available. Cookie settings in the footer allows withdrawal and changes at any time.
The browser stores a visitor reference and the choice history, including the date, notice version, notice text and country lookup result. Withdrawal preserves earlier acceptance evidence and stops new conversion reporting. Previously blocked downloads aren't replayed. Clearing browser storage removes these local records. These Google controls don't manage RB2B, Leadsy or booking services, whose choices are described separately above. Google's use of information is described at Google's privacy information.
